HOW IT WORKS

The function of cell membrane

Cell membranes allow the exchange, admission and excretion of food and waste substances into and from the cell. This membrane is made of components such as proteins, carbohydrate, and phospholipids, which consist of 70% phosphatidylcholine (PC) and 30% of phosphatidylserine.

Cells can be damaged by a variety of factors. When damaged, components of the cell membranes, particularly LDL cholesterol, can escape the structure and enter the bloodstream.

This would result in elevated levels of LDL cholesterol in the circulatory system. Consequently, this can also lead to plaque buildup as released cholesterol tend to combine with calcium, fat and other materials in the circulatory system to form plaque. PlaqX works by helping to rebuild the cell membrane, promote the reintegration of LDL cholesterol into the membrane, and increase HDL cholesterol levels, also known as the good cholesterol. Cholesterols can thus be managed and plaque can be efficiently transported to the liver for removal.
